A walk to Attercliffe

 

For no particular reason I decided to walk to Attercliffe (via the Porter Valley and the Five Weirs Walk) and from Attercliffe I more or less followed the Don back into the city centre, visiting the Canal Basin and the Haymarket/Castle Gate. All in all I walked about 14 miles and did just under 30k steps! I did of course stop for lunch at the Steam Yard and on the way back I called into Costa Coffee on Savile Street East, finally having a glass of orange juice at the Big Gun; Wicker's only remaining pub and will sadly close for good on Wednesday.
